Our Foundation is dedicated to sustainable local and territorial development, from our home village to many corners of the wider world. We work primarily with and for those who care about making their community a more resilient, liveable, and vibrant place – whether in rural areas or large cities – feeling connected to the place where they live.
We bring together change-makers with the goal to foster cooperation-based renewal, encourage the exchange of experience, and support those who are ready to take their first steps for their community.
We believe that true change takes place not on screens, but in the physical world. We view our website merely as a tool: a digital bulletin board to find one another in outer and inner spaces – and within ourselves. Together, we can do more for the place we call home. Join us!

Rural Pact
European opportunities – local action
As the official Hungarian partner of the Rural Pact Support Office, the Rural Workshop Foundation supports the implementation of the European Rural Pact and its practical application at national, regional, and local levels. We do more than just relay information: our aim is to build a bridge between Hungarian rural communities, developers, decision-makers, and the European professional and policy-making communities.
Our goal is to ensure that the European Commission's 2040 initiative transcends being a mere document, bringing tangible support, connections, and renewal to Hungarian villages and small towns.

The Rural Workshop Foundation is an independent non-for-profit organization that places local development into a global context. Its primary mission is to uncover often-hidden local resources and build bridges between stakeholders.
